Classroom/Virtual Course
In Ontario, the Occupational Health and Safety Act has prescribed 11 agents as designated substances. These include acrylonitrile, arsenic, asbestos, benzene, coke oven emissions, ethylene oxide, vinyl chloride, isocyanates, lead, mercury, and silica. We will discuss and provide useful information on the designated substances specifically asbestos—its historical background, characteristics, health effects, regulatory framework, different types of work procedures, and personal protective equipment.
Awareness (1 hour or 2 hour options)
